Most exciting discovery/research of 2007

One of my distant relatives was Paul Oscayan. His obituary in the New York Times for July 10, 1930 said he was President of The Star Ball Player Company. Naturally that aroused my curiosity and further research revealed that he had invented the Star Ball Player Scoreboard that simulated the progress of a ball game. His patent for this device was issued in 1919. A New York Times article on October 5, 1919 reported that 10,000 fans " watched" the final game of the World Series in Times Square on the Star Ball Player Scoreboard. It was an interesting bit of family history.
