Peter - I agree, your posts are held to a different standard. However, you've brought this upon yourself through a high volume of O/T and sometimes bizarre posts. I hear similar complaints from employees in my office who have low scores on their quality audits - but the reason I look at their work more closely is because they've proven that they can't meet the standards that have been established. You've made your own bed here.

John - using your logic, people should be allowed to post whatever they want on this board. After all, I could choose to simply ignore their posts, right? Of course, the board would likely deteriorate relatively quickly and it would become so difficult to wade through all the crap than many valuable contributors would stop participating, and that would be a loss to us all.

As for the idea that started this mess, consider all the related problems.... no matter how good your filtering software is, some idiot will end up accessing porn, a virus, or both, on your computers. Then you get to deal with irate parents (minors will use your computers) or damaged computers. Don't think it will happen? Ever seen what people look at on the terminals at the library? I have, and it's not pretty. Putting internet terminals in your store is an OK idea if you want to have an internet cafe/card store. However, I don't believe that you will have the same customers use both sides of the business.
