Since I know an old-time collector who bought four boxes of 1952 Topps High Numbers as a child and opened them and who says the Mantles are not double printed but triple printed, I will take the 1933 Goudey Gehrig. They are older, had less cards printed to begin with and had to make it through the paper drives of World War II to survive. The worst thing the Mantles would have had to face were the bicycle spokes and I doubt very many kids put Mantle in them. |
