Steve - maybe I'm wrong, but my understanding of the pickups thread is that each person posts once per thread - so if you have 1 pickup on Nov 1st, that would go in the 1st Nov. pickup thread and then if you have a second pickup on Nov 3rd, you wait until the second pickup thread to post. What that means is if you only make your first pickup of the month on Nov 15th, you can still post it in the 1st pickup thread since it is your first. In that sense, I don't think the 1st pickup thread gets "retied" when the 2nd comes around. That also means that people posting in the 2nd thread aren't doing it to top-post, but they're doing it because they had another pickup. Of course, this is purely conjecture as there is no written set of rules for the pickup threads.
