Default Show Your Pre-WW I Signed Cards

Posted By: DMcD

Matt: Hadn't really paid attention to that before. I think the non-parallel appearance on the right-side may be exagerrated by the camera angle and by the magnification of my photo. Even so I think you're on to something. I am currently on the mainland and the M116 Wood is 2500 miles away in Hawaii but when I get home I will give it a closer look. Whether or not it is trimmed it is one of the very favorite cards in my collection. Old Joe Wood held that card and wrote his plain signature with the same hand that threw smoke in 1912. I am going to digress a bit now. I collect cards by virtue of eye-appeal, not grade. I have a mess of PSA "Pinhole One" Turkey Reds that are stunners and it irks me to no end to see the word "Poor" in the tag. These cards are not poor, they are beauties. Likewise the M116 Wood is like a pretty girl you never get tired of looking at. The only thing I don't like about it is the word "trimmed" on the slab. Pretty but maybe her looks are doctored. I wish PSA had called it "Authentic" and let it go at that.
