I know there's a new pick up thread, so I don't mind hyjacking the Cobb "at second base" photo with a ol' baseball story:


I was playing summer college ball (long ago), and was on the bench (like normal). Our infield had a base runner caught off between first and second. However, the infield was putzing aroung trying to tag this guy out, in a four or five throw run-down. Finally, our CF charges in grabs the ball, mid-air, and the runner at the same time, and tackles him (holding the ball, a legit out). BTW, the CF was 6' something 250 lb, who also played line man at Bethune-Cookman. I guess you had to be there, but it was a GREAT play !!!!!
