Daryl Strawberry has received far more second chances than the average John Doe. However, I have to admit that the media spotlight shines a lot more brightly right now than it ever did during the Mick's time.

In Mick's time a ballplayer might get away with an affair. The media would keep it hushed up. Now days it seems like the media would jump on anything like that. Certainly there's a lot more reporting about DUI's, I don't remember the media reporting on any of the old-timer's drinking and driving.
