I remember being at the Plymouth National in '81, I was 10 and dealers would literally just give me things. "You want T206's kid? Here take 5." "You only have 20 bucks...don't worry about it kid." I bought one 1970 Nolan Ryan(not vintage I know) and the guy gave me 4. It struck me as strange at the time, but now they have a customer for life in a sense. I think it's called growing the hobby or something like that... |
