I haven't really paid attention, lately, to sales of this card. The last one I can remember appearing on eBay ended March 1st, 2006. This copy closed at just over $300 but was a redeemed example. Once an entire set of cards was collected, they could be returned to the company for your choice of a piece of baseball equiptment or a pound of chocolate. The cards would also be returned, however, not the entire card. Brigg's method of redeeming cards was very crude and they literally tore off the upper portion of the card. This is why the Ruth in March 2006 went for so low. |
