Set collectors - what cards give you the most hassle?

I haven't come close to finishing off pre-war sets so it's hard to say. The last card I needed for the 1938 Goudey was the high numbered Jimmie Foxx that I put together card-by-card. The last month I was searching through eBay, I saw many Foxx's but it was the low numbered one. I know none of the cards are especially scarce, but because I literally needed that "Beast" to finish the set, it became hard to find.
