It is my understanding the Portland Beavers were a charter Coast League team in 1903 and the league's best team when Obaks were issued, winning both the 1910 & 1911 titles ... I looked it up, and there was a Portland Gladiators in 1896 and a Portland Webfoots in 1892, 1901 and 1902 in the Northwest League. I'll bet the Northwest League reference is just an error ... |
