Jason Loh yes, I know.,..I wasn't laying blame to the grading companies, or at least, I didn't mean to. Mine was just an expression of general dispair. I have no idea what the answer is, or if there even is one...but I was just daydreaming about how wonderful it would be if it were possible to ensure the integrity level of these pop reports.
because as much as I enjoy the cards for what they are, regardless of raw, graded, condition, age, etc...there is a part of me that would like to be MORE sure of a card's true rarity/scarcity (or population) as I spend increasingly more on them!
Certainly the companies are to blame if they don't populate their own reports with their own work, as a previous post mentions, but you're exactly right, there is no controlling the customer behavior...cracking and re-submitting, etc...
But just hypothetically, wouldn't it be cool to know exactly how many T200 Chicago Nationals cards have been graded, and what ALL those grades were?...
