John and Jim- that Unc Matty originated from my November, 2005 auction. Oddly, my consignor sent it in to SGC before the auction and they refused to grade it, as they didn't know what it was. But when the winning bidder submitted it, they shifted gears. That was always a bit of a sore point I had with SGC, but hey, overall they are great. And yes, it was cut out from a larger panel, perhaps a box cover of some kind. And it is rare! |
