The guy Burdette was traded for, Johnny Sain, just passed away as well. The trade turned out great for both players. Sain got a couple World Series rings, and Burdette eventually became a Yankee killer in the '57 series. when I think of Burdette, I think of him throwing left-handed on his '59 Topps card ... |
