T206 Softening?

I was at the Heritage auction about a month or so ago, bidding live. There was a group of PSA 8 common T206's. A lot of them went for $1000-$1300 after juice. I wanted to bid on the one that went for about $900 and juice but the auctioneer dude messed up and went onto the next lot, closing it prematurely. I saw around 6-8 8's go for about $1300....after juice. I was there for something else and had a number/paddle so raised it a few times...and came away with a T206 common in an 8 holder...for about $1300 after juice. I sold it a few weeks later on ebay for $2200.....I love the registry people....regards
