If everyone's figures are correct, it's interesting that there have been only three 10's and six 9's graded, because the 1952 Topps case that was found in the early 1980's had something like 30-40 Mantles in it. Wouldn't you imagine all of them would be at least 9 with a smattering of 10's? They were all uncirculated. Maybe many were slightly mishandled from the time the case was discovered until the time they were graded (and I assume all are in holders by now). |
