I think the advice of what are you willing to pay for it is good and sound after asking yourself questions like.... How bad do I want it? Will I ever see another one? How popular do you think it would be if offered in another venue? Just how rare is it? Is it something that will move to the top of the heap in my collection? If I'm willing to pay this much for such and such, this certainly has to be worth this much. Is it a cross collectable (like advertising, tobacco and baseball)? Will I have regrets if I don't go the extra mile on it? How liquid do I think it would be?
