Are pre-war cards a solid investment? Hmmm. . . this question simply cannot be answered by comparing averages to any market. What has not been analyzed is that you cannot compare averages for cards and stocks, or whatever. . . Like it or not, we are (well, most of us are) experts on cards. You simply cannot compare markets. Experts in any market with extensive trading and volatile values will do well. I don't care if you are into paintings, baseball cards, stocks, corvettes, 1957 chevys, comic books, etc. . . If you are truly an expert you will do well. Period. Conditions will change. . . No doubt. . . But then your strategy changes. It is simply not fair to compare averages for certain investments unless you account for expertise in the particular investment. . . |
