Don't mean to hijack this thread, but if you'll allow a brief side-road: A dealer friend of mine picked up a DeMaggio with coupon at the 1987 National from an elderly gentleman he had been dealing with over the years. When he received it, Mr. Mint, who was set up a couple of tables over, demanded that he sell it to him. When my friend told Mr. Mint what he could do with his demand, Mr. Mint became completely "unglued" and cussed and threatened my friend. Not a pretty sight but I did like seeing Mr. Mint turn beet red. It was a good color for him..... |
