What's the eBay etiquette for the seller

It has always been my contention, often to a chorus of Net54 boos, that it's good practice for a bidder to place the low minimum bid on an eBay lot, only in part to ensure that the lot isn't pulled or the minimum bud raised because there are no bidders.
