My favorite baseball posession is my granfather's bat that he used playing semi-pro ball in Vermillion MN, in the 20's. It is a Rogers Hornsby signature model. It's cracked, been taped, and not in the greatest shape but it was the one thing he gave me before he died when we were cleaning out his garage.

It resides in our bedroom as not only a memento, but also a peace-maker just in case someone decides to break in. The thing weighs a ton and would do some real damage.
