I don't know if it is just my personal taste, but I think this is one of the most impressive selections of any auction. Love the n172 selection. |

The descriptions are cut off at the third line in each lot description. Anybody else having that problem? |

They are like that no matter which browser I use, so it's only a coding problem in that the description is getting truncated at teh same point in each lot. |

It's a goodtime to start collecting 19th century items! Should be very interesting how some of the simular items do in Mastro compared to REA. T210 Jackson...N173 Wright.. T206 Plank... Simular grade and both going off at different times.. Wonder if the underbidder will get a better deal on the later item??? |

it is very fair and appropriate to compare the 2 auction houses. They are vieing for the same marketshare. REA just happens to do a better job getting significant items than Mastro. You could claim that REA is at a disadvantage because if you have something you want to sell and need the money right away, REA is only once a year and you will need to go to one of the other auction houses instead. |

Both have marquee lots for auction. What's the point in debating which is better? How does this advance the knowledge of vintage card collecting on such a subjective topic? Lelands did score a coup in getting the Wagner rookie. |

WOW! There is an amazing array of cards and memorabilia up for auction right now in the various auction houses. The Mastro auction is outstanding as far as cards go, but very light on the type of stuff that I like. The REA is probably about as good as it gets for me. And Leland's has an unused Victor Sporting Goods Federal League ball....WHAT TO DO???? |

The pages seem to be coming in pieces. When I first got into the site last night, at about 8:50 PST, only the titles were viewable. That was actually pretty exciting to see something like: "Cap Anson N172 Portrait". By 9:15, most had pictures of the fronts. Early this morning, I saw more and more pictures of backs of cards. I assume the full descriptions will come soon. I like reading the "expected ending price". Even though most cards seem to end at 150% to 250% of that number, it gives a person a feel for what it is going to take to have a shot at acquiring the card. I'm going to log off now and call my mortgage lender about a second on the house. [insert Jon Lovitz voice here] A HOME IMPROVGEMENT LOAN...yeah that's the ticket. |

I have been watching this auction in pieces as well. Today I can see the fronts but can't click on anything. I have never seen such an amazing auction before. I have been void from the VBC because in order to be able to afford some of these pieces, I took a night job where I would dedicate all those made funds in that direction. When the pick up threads start, I'm never there because the stuff I like and want are a tad on the pricey side so you gotta do, whatcha gotta do. |

I don't see the Expected Prices either, and was going to ask the same question if it didn't appear with the rest of the descriptions. For now I've been working my way through the lots one by one. Wow. |
