I got the most sophisticated one today and it involved the party telling me that I paid $30 for a dress. When you click on the link, it takes you to the actual dress. I actually logged into my own personal Paypal account to make sure that I didn't pay for this item. It is so scary how realistic these "phishing" e-mails are getting. In the case of eBay, this is exactly why they created "My Messages", but still, I know a couple who have been fooled and what happened next was horrifying to them as they found themselves peddling electronics on their eBay page. |
