I grew up in New York and loved the Yankees. I thought the Scooter was the greatest and always loved hearing him announce. Plus when the game got boring (and even when it wasn't boring), he'd always talk about beating the traffic on the George Washington Bridge, the birthdays he'd mention, and the canolis (sp?) that he always seemed to get for free. Yankee haters probably don't like the Scooter since he was such a Yankee homer, but I'm sure most Yankee fans feel fondly about him. |
