Ugliest Player as Depicted on Card?
Posted By: Anthony
If I was a ballplayer (even at the minimum salary of 340K or whatever it is this week) my off season job would be to stay in shape. On the back of '60's and '70's cards you always read how this player sold cars or insurance or whatever in the off season, but once salaries spiked up they didn't need to. Besides expansion, small ballparks, steroids, juiced balls, etc this might be a viable answer to the increase in hitters production and the increased longevity of many pitchers. |
