Using a grading company provides you with a nice, uniform appearance to you collection. I've tinkered with various ways to label cards in semi-rigid holders without much luck. I don't have the money to get all my cards slabbed, not that I would want to. I really like the look and feel of my more important cards in an SGc holder. Yes, I'd love to be able to hold the card raw, but I am my own worst enemy and as pointed out, it allows you to show the card to friends and they can get basic info about the card off the label. |
