The namture of eBay beast is such that you do not want to make your top bid early. I guess if you a lot of money to throw away, then this works fine. Most people here are on a budget and sniping keeps down the finaly price unless you have 2 people that place "must have" bids. Bidding early with your max bid just encourages other people to play the game of let's see how close we can get to the max bid without going over. People can't do this when you snipe. |
