Imagine what would happen to card prices if this actually worked. People would no longer fgure how much they could afford based on what their bank account is, but they would also be factoring in rent money. What was once a $10k now would become a $50k card.

Personally, there is no appeal to renting a card. It's kind of like renting a Ferrari. No one cares if you rented one, only if you owned it.
