People started taking scissors in hand when Jim Copeland started paying $100 for NM t206 commons. I remember dealers going through my inventory and specifically asking if I had any oversized t205s or t206s. There also a person looking for totally beatten up 33 Goudeys. He wanted them so he could use the paper in cards that he was restoring. This is around 1987. Because of this, I've always been very leery of high grade 33 Goudeys. Who knows what other sets this person has been performing restorations on. |
