Mike Marshall (the Dodger outfielder, not the pitcher) and ex Met shortstop Tim Bogar both went to my high school (Buffalo Grove High School in Illinois). There was a little display with their uniforms and a few pictures, but Marshall was such a notorious jerk that I don't think anyone there was particularly proud of him. The coaches told me that he used to throw helmets and bats on the rare occasion that he would strike out and was otherwise generally unpleasant and full of himself.
