It is a fun and challenging set. Of course, I don't view it as a distinct set because some of the more popular Salutations of guys who lasted into the 1950s were printed into the 1950s on the same sheets as "regular" Exhibits. I tend to treat both the salutations and the 47-66 cards as one issue. Because of this, DiMaggio and Williams (no #9 shows) are easily found in high grade. I'd not contest the one on ebay too heavily; there are a lot more out there.

The SCD catalogue does a pretty good job of breaking down the rarities by value (I will say, however, that the pricing is not necessarily reflective of what the rarer cards will draw at auction). Generally, the cards issued exclusively prior to WWII are expensive and scarce; the rest are readily found. Gehrig is the big prize, of course, but Averill, Gehringer, Gomez, Hartnett, Klein, Kreevich, Newson [sic] and Russell are also very tough to find. Dean, Greenberg (very truly yours), Grove and Williams (#9 shows) are also tougher cards too but definitely not on the same tier as the others. The printing variations also are toughies to find but often overlooked by sellers.
