I wouldn't be surprised to find out that some of the cards were trimmed or altered in some way. Heck, anytime you buy raw T206 cards there are all the associated risks. When you buy 500+ at the same time, it's quite likely there is something wrong with at least a few of them that would make them ungradeable. I'd never buy ungraded cards for that price without having an opportunity to thoroughly review each one -- and even then it's too much money for my poor little heart to take without the SGC stamp of approval. That said, I don't really see any warning signs that would keep me away in terms of auction representations or the character of the seller. |
