Mastro Wins???

Looking at some of the Mastro bids, particularly the high grade complete sets, I don't think price and value are even factors. You have a group of extremely wealthy people wanting certain things and they probably don't really know what the lots are worth but they do know they have to top the existing bid, and so they do. The market is very skewed towards these high end buyers and the general collector is completely shut out, often not even close. The only hope is these guys may burn out and some normalcy will come back to the market. I no longer actively collect but the issue is moot; I could no longer compete so why even bother. Collectors on budgets are competing with gazillionaires and will lose out every time.
