What set is the most addictive to collectors?

I've collected cards from several pre-war sets over the years but none come remotely close to my Old Judge addiction. Even when picking an "easier" subset from within the Goliath, it can seem impossible. If you're patient and a bit lucky, you might have a chance to complete it (a subset). For me, I think there is a link between difficulty & addiction / enjoyment of collecting.
