This really is nuts. If Barry's bid had been $2500, your absentee bid of $2600 would have been enterred, and the floor bidder would have lost, unless he was willing to go higher. The amount of the THIRD PLACE bidder's bid should have no impact on the result of the auction. Any auction where it does have an impact is using a bad system. |
