All the auctioneer has to do if there in a situation like that would be to inform the live bidder that there is already an absebtee bid in place at $2600 and the live bidder now needs to bid $2700. This way, the absentee bid can remain hidden from bidders. Otherwise, there is no point in being an absentee bidder for any live auction. |
