Help me solve a baseball card mystery

I don't think it's Newt - he was too early, and she's pretty confident it was the late 20's or 30's.

I finally got a hold of this woman again today and she's going to try and do some research and get back to me with any more info she can give me - full name, date of birth, etc. I'll let you know. Thanks!
