I was wondering if someone could help me out since I don't know too much about old baseball bats I have a old Spalding bat and I don't know if it is professional model or a store model. The bat looks just like the famous black betsy Joe Jackson bat its weight 39.5 ounces and length 34 inches are also almost identical. It is a Old Hickory Spalding model 156 and that is all it says on it. The bottom of the knob has the Spalding trademark stamped in with a nail in the handle. The bat has been dated pre 1920 and that is all the information I have on it. If anyone has opinions or information on this bat I would really appreciate it thanks, Rich |
