I saw this mask on ebay as well. One other less than sporty possibility is it could possibly be a horse mask. I saw another mask very similar to this one at an auction one time, with a long strap, that was meant to go over the end of a horse's muzzle, to prevent the eating of certain types of foods - whether hay or grain, etc. When I saw the long leather strap on the one on ebay, it made me think of that horse mask, as the strap would have to be very long to fit around the back of the horses head. Maybe I am way out on left field on this one though. |
