Help with pinback

Hi Mike H! I wish I could report better news but this "Sultan of Swat" Ruth pinback is not vintage. It's really just no good. It is what I call a "fantasy pinback," which is a little different than a reproduction, as there is no vintage original. It is not a reproduction, because there is no vintage pinback of this design. This is a pinback design that someone made up from scratch (in some quantity years ago), apparently specifically to sell to collectors as a vintage item. No one knows who made them but they're all over the place, and we frequently find them even in advanced collections. I'm always happy to answer any pinback questions as best I can. Baseball pinbacks have always been a favorite area of collecting for me!
