The well known glove maker Ken-Wel started in Gloversville NY around 1910 before moving just down Rt. 90 to Utica. Many leading players used and endorsed their gloves over the years. There may be some tie there. I don't think Reach ever had operations in Gloversville. I have never seen a "Peach" glove - I don't think it was a real company. Maybe this was Reach's parody response to the growing competiton of the upstart, yet successful, Ken Wel Co.
