I don't get it. The man was a fantastic ballplayer. He beat Ty Cobb's hit record. Let him the f**k in the hall of fame. He had a a problem. Does anyone not have some problems? Did his gambling have anything to do with how he played baseball? Let him in, and even though it won't do him any good at this point, for the sake of baseball, let Joe Jackson in. Ty Cobb was the most hated man in baseball, and on a personal level, so it's written, was not the finest of human beings. There was no problem with him getting in first time they let anyone in. Go ahead, give me your myriad reasons why he broke the rules, yadda, yadda, yadda. I'm not buying it. He's suffered enough. Let him in NOW. |
