to a major auction house, it had a stain on the reverse (as seen in Lipset's Encyclopedia). The President of the company called and asked me if it was OK for them to have the stain removed. After a few seconds of thought, I said OK (because I was getting out of the Hobby and knew the card would bring more money in EX than in GD). Anyway, if I hadn't known the stain was once there, I would have never guessed the card ever had a stain after viewing the "after" picture in the catalog. |
