One of the more interesting items I bought was a group of boxing books that belonged to the famous old-time trainer Mannie Seamon (trained Joe Louis). On a front page of each book, he wrote his name and, in a column below, page numbers. At first, I had no clue what the page numbers referred to ... Turns out, the pages were where his name appeared. Everytime his name appeared in a book, he vigorously pen underlined it and wrote the page on the front page .... Proud of his accomplishements, it appears |
