Andy--You left out the fellow I believe to be the most likely candidate--Dummy Hoy. I would also think that two possiblities are Stovey and Orr. I think it is a travesty that Orr and Browning are not in the HOF. They were two of the best hitters of their time but just happened to be in the AA. The first year they competed with NL stars (1890 in the PL) they finished one-two in batting. |
