Even that $100 million lawsuit meant little to ebay. Ebays current market capitalization is $32 billion. It would be far more effective to get some publicity for ebay's lack of oversight and the fraud that results. If ebays stock was to take a one point hit because of such negative publicity it would cost the company about $300 million. My guess is that such a story, if presented correctly, would knock the stock down alot more than one point.
