In the current Mastro auction, lot 0876 (Grover Alexander 1915 Original Photo and 1939 Signed Centennial Cachet) shows a "1915 original photo" of Alexander that I believe is the same one used in his 1914 T222 card (shown below). The background of the T222 is blurry but it appears to be the same photo, which may actually be from 1911 or 1912, as the uniform and socks Alexander is wearing most closely match those years in Mark Okkonen's uniforms book. |
