There was a GAI 2 Gypsy Queeen Pud Galvin that went for about $2000 in the Sports Cards Plus Auction. And I'm sure Wayne Varner had no trouble getting rid of his 19th century horde, graded low becasuse of back damage, last month.

I'm almost getting the impression that with the low-graded early card, the grade is almost a badge of honor.
