The first group of about 100 of these will go on sale on eBay on Monday for 10 days. Mint Xpress is handling the sale. I have closely examined many of these cards and at arm's length they are gorgeous. It's only when the guys at SCDA got ahold of them under halogen lamps and magnifiers that the factory-created flaws are visible and noted on the slabs. What's really great about these is that they are an original one-owner old collection and have not seen the light of day for over 85 years. For 99% of collectors, even if they buy an SCD 4 VG/EX, it will still be the nicest T206 they have ever owned. I learned a ton about the original printing process and what damage could be caused through my study of these cards. I've got my finger on the "bid" button. |
