Default My BF3 Collection

At 86, I'm probably one of the oldest members of the forum. For the last 35 years, I have been collecting BF3 pennants. I wanted to start sharing pictures of my collection. Here are my Type 1s.

I really like the variety of player poses used in the Type 1 set — nearly every one is unique. The second series only uses a few different poses, while the third series has none.

I have another 8 types to post, if I can get my son to do it. I have over 450
of a possible 475 bf3s. There is no compete check list of these.

Very nice! The off the beaten track collectibles often give the greatest joy to a collector..

You have probably amassed the best/most complete collection of BF3's and the collectors among us can appreciate the time and trouble required to find these.

Amazing stuff, thank you VERY much for posting.

Sounds like you need to create a checklist to post on OldCardboard...

Edited to say that it looks like you took my advice a few years ago : https://www.oldcardboard.com/eNews/2.../eMag177.htm#3

Ha! Old school. I thought maybe you were “ cutting and pasting” with some sort of photo software.

Old school is sometimes easier than new school, especially with 4 inch pennants, not so much with 19 inch posters...

Such a great collection, Jim, It was moved over from the memorabilia section.

Thanks for putting this thread where they would probably go otherwise too. I have (personally) sort of lumped these in with cards but they aren't.

Love the BF3s. Probably moreso BECAUSE there are still unknowns out there. This is such an impressive collection!

Matt, awesome BF3 collection! I'm personally only trying to collect the Ruth and Gehrig varieties, and some of the variations can be really tough to find. I don't think I've seen that Type 1 Gehrig before, and some of the Type 2's with the block vs script and throwing vs batting variations are tough to find.

And these used to be in the Big Book under BF3s, but I actually think they are the BF4s that Jefferson Burdick refers to in his book. They are slightly larger than BF3s.
